Winter Mountains & Winter Skills
Cairngorms National Park, Scotland
Focus: Discover the wonders of Scottish winter, develop your winter walking skills and have a go at winter mountaineering. A good level of fitness is required but no previous experience is needed.

With Aviemore as our base we are perfectly placed to make the most of the ski road access to the high plateau of the Northern Cairngorms, offering a wide range of great mountain walks and areas to hone your winter skills and winter mountaineering. We may also use other nearby mountain areas such as Glen Feshie or Creag Meagaidh.
Over the six days we'll teach you key winter skills whilst enjoying some great mountain journeys at the same time. You'll learn how to use an ice axe and crampons, navigate in winter, build snow shelters, interpret mountain weather and avalanche forecasts. A really exciting residential with our most experienced instructors.

Wildlife, Conservation & John Muir Award
Peak District National Park or Isle of Arran
Focus: Wildlife spotting, conservation projects, John Muir Award, exploring.
Duration: 5 days (Peak District & Isle of Arran).
As part of this residential, you will explore beautiful landscapes and your chosen location's flora and fauna. You will also work with local rangers on current conservation projects, helping to conserve and protect local biodiversity. All of the activities we undertake form part of the John Muir Guardian Award, meaning you'll achieve a very worthwhile certificate for your CV as well having great memories to take away.

Outdoor Activities Residential
Peak District National Park
Focus: Outdoor activities, personal development, outdoor skills, fun and adventure
Duration: 5 days
The Peak District is a fantastic location for outdoor adventures with stunning scenery and easily accessible crags, hills, caves and valleys to explore. In fact, people come from all over the world to climb at the unique gritstone edges which are right on our doorstep.
This residential gives you the opportunity to try a whole range of outdoor activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, weaselling, orienteering and scrambling. All activities include lots of time and instruction for skill development so you don't need to have prior experience. You will leave the programme with a range of experiences that not only look great on your CV but are hopefully of real value and inspiration to you.

Rock Climbing Residentials, Peak District
Focus: This week is all about rock climbing, and is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced climbers. Develop your movement and ropework skills and experience climbing on some of the world-
famous gritstone edges of the Peak District.
Duration: 5 Days, no previous experience required, all equipment provided.
We will be based in the heart of the Peak District and from here we'll travel to different climbing spots. Over an immersive five days you'll learn movement skills whilst bouldering, have a go at climbing on
different rock types, go abseiling, and learn essential ropework skills. You'll be introduced to using specialist climbing gear and will have plenty of opportunities to climb some amazing routes and boulder
problems, at whatever level suits you.

Landscape & Adventure Photography Residential
Focus: Photography, adventure and personal development.
Duration: 5 days, no previous experience necessary, digital camera with manual settings desirable but not required.
Over the 5 days you'll get to grips with the camera and unlock its full potential as we dive into a range of photographic styles built primarily around landscape, adventure and low light photography. During the week you will be able to edit your photos, with full access to Adobe Lightroom included, and save these in a file that you can take with you and export for personal use. We run this Residential in the Peak District, Lake District, Eyri & Pembrokeshire.

Bushcraft & Wilderness Survival Skills Residential
Focus: This week is all about learning to be at home in the woods and giving you the skills to become more self sufficient. No previous experience is required and all equipment is provided.
Duration: 5 days.
On day 1 you will be meet at Harewood Yard and be introduced to woodland camping, safety and considerations and behin to set up your base camp, including a canopied shelter and individual tarps for sleeping. During the week you will take part in shelter building, gain an understanding of human biological requirements for warmth and good sleep, fire lighting skills, making comfortable beds using natural materials, processing water to make it safe to drink, safe knife use, culmimtating in building a ground oven for a big feast on the final night. At the end of the week you'll deconstruct camp and leave no trace, and give a presnetation to the group on your experiences.

All residentials run by Adventure Expeditions are designed to bring individuals together to have a great time - our aim is for you to leave with new friends, great memories and new skills. Each residential has a different aim and focus for you to choose from.
We understand that joining as an individual may be daunting but you are guaranteed a warm welcome by our team. Previous residential groups have made friends for years to come and meet up independently afterwards for adventures together.
Our residentials are open to any young person aged 16 to 25. If you are undertaking the Gold DofE Award, your residential will fulfill all the criteria for the Gold Residential section but completing DofE is not a requirement to join us.
