The Isle of Arran is located off the coast of Southern Scotland in the Firth of Clyde. Arran is a stunning and remote location with fantastic wildlife and is surprisingly easy to get to.
There are regular flights and trains to Glasgow. Once in Glasgow, catch the train to Ardrossan Harbour (this takes roughly 1 hour) From here, you can enjoy your ferry ride to Brodick Dock on the Isle of Arran. Our instructors will meet you off the ferry on Arran and take the public bus with you to your bunkhouse.
Arran's landscape is very diverse with rugged mountain peaks, dark green forests and stunning, unspoiled beaches. Whilst on expedition, look out for otters, golden eagles and seals!
For the first night you will be staying in a local YHA. Then you will head to the north of the island from where your expedition will start the following day. Whilst on expedition, you will be at basic campsites as well as wild camping in an amazing spot.
