Snowdonia National Park is situated in North Wales and as the name suggests, this is where the highest mountain in Wales, Mount Snowdon (1,085m), is found.
You will meet in the small town of Llanberis. To get there, catch the train to Bangor and head to the bus interchange (next to the station). From here the Arriva 85 or 86 bus service takes you to Llanberis. Services run approximately every hour and it takes roughly an hour to get from Bangor to Llanberis by bus.
Rugged mountains, steep-sided valleys and dark blue lakes with beautiful views across Snowdonia towards the Irish sea.
For the first two nights you will be staying in a local YHA or bunkhouse. Whilst on expedition you will be at basic campsites and farm sites. There is one night of wild camping on this expedition, weather permitting.
