Data Protection & Privacy

Joining us for a course or expedition means sharing your data with us – we need information about you in case of emergency or to support any illnesses, injuries or medications that you may be taking. We therefore have a responsibility to look after your data carefully and have spent time ensuring that we are fully compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and Data Protection Act 2018.

Adventure Expeditions is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and appears on the Register of Data Controllers under reference A1023803. Please get in touch if you would like to see a copy of our full Data Protection Policy.

As part of our work on the hill and with programmes, we often take photos and video footage that we can make available to participants as a record of their time with us and to support learning portfolios that require evidence of participation e.g. DofE programmes, John Muir Award, personal development programmes. We may also discreetly use photos and videos as part of our printed and internet publications to publicise our activities. Please do let us know if you would like to ensure that you are not included in any photos or videos captured for either of the above purposes and we will make sure that this happens. Please email [email protected] to let us know.
