Open Bronze Training & Qualifying Expedition

Start: 10:30

End: 16:00

Join us to complete your Bronze Expedition Award in one go. For your Bronze Expedition Award, you no longer need to do a practice expedition so you can complete your Bronze expedition section with us over 3 days. You can also use this expedition as your Training & Practice if you need to, get in touch if you have any questions.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1, Training: We will meet at a campsite to complete the Bronze DofE training syllabus. You will cover all sessions from the Bronze DofE syllabus including campcraft, map reading, emergency procedures and learn about the Countryside Code. In the late afternoon you will go on a navigation walk to practice your new skills. Camp overnight.

Day 2, Qualifying (1): You'll complete pre-expedition checks with your instructor / DofE Assessor and set off on your planned route. Each day you will walk along your planned route, with instructors supervising you remotely throughout and meeting you at agreed checkpoints. Your instructors will camp with you (or near you) at the campsite in the evening.

Day 3, Qualifying (2): Today you'll continue along your planned route. At your finish point you will have a debrief with your instructor / DofE Assessor before heading home. In the days following the expedition, our team will upload your assessor report directly to your eDofE account, and we will be in touch via email to confirm this has been done.
