Overnight adventure camps
Join us for an afternoon of adventure before settling into some evening fun and games around the campfire and camping overnight with friends (old and new). The outdoor fun will continue into the twilight and evening so that we can explore the nature and wildlife around us at night. We will cook some food and toast marshmallows around the campfire before settling down to sleep in tents to the sound of the forest.
Campfire and bushcraft
We’ll meet at 4pm on Friday to begin our activities, setting up camp and building the campfire ready to cook our dinner later on. We'll have all the ingredients and utensils ready for you and your team to cook.
You will have a tent put up ready to sleep in, but before we get settled in we’ll head our for an evening of adventure.
We'll use head torches to explore the area at night - depending on the weather we might go in search of owls, badgers and bats, rig up a shelter and share stories, and heat hot chocolate and toast marshmallows over the fire, before relaxing and stargazing.
The next morning we will get up and make breakfast together. We then have a few hours of activities ahead of us before heading home for lunch at 12:30.

Overnight adventure with rock climbing
Perfect for those wanting to try rock climbing for the first time, or to develop some existing skills.
We’ll meet on Friday afternoon at 4pm and after some time on the rock, we’ll head to the campsite for the evening. As we will be staying in the Peak District National Park, we cannot have campfires but we will have camp stoves ready, and your instructor will show you how to cook a meal (you can preorder your meal after booking).
We'll have stories, hot chocolate and marshmallows around the camp stoves as it gets dark and then head out for a night walk or similar depending on the weather. Our campsite gives great opportunities to see the stars and hear lots of wonderful wildlife that doesn't come as much during the day.
After a night in your tent, we'll get up and have some breakfast before spending the morning rock climbing and abseiling before heading home at 12:30 - there are lots of great climbs for us to tackle, whatever the weather. The Peak District is world-renowned for its climbing crags.

Adventure Expeditions is a not-for-profit entity and we are committed to widening participation in the outdoors for young people of all ages. We love what we do and want to share that with you. Remember, you don't need to have any previous experience of any kind to join our Adventure Days - all we ask is that you arrive with enthusiasm to explore!
Childcare vouchers: Our application to accept childcare vouchers is in progress, and we hope to be able to accept these very soon. If you have a young person who is keen to take part, please get in touch and we will see if we can support you through our bursary scheme instead.
If you have any additional needs or specific requirements that you would like to discuss in advance of making a booking or joining us for a programme, please do call and chat to us. We are an experienced staff team (including primary and secondary school teachers) and can work with you to ensure that our programmes are accessible for you and meet your needs as far as we can.
