Safeguarding is an integral part of AE’s safety operations and affects all operations on a daily basis.
Our Safeguarding Policy is one of a series of steps in our integrated safeguarding portfolio and a copy can be downloaded below for further information.
All staff and instructors uphold our commitment to safeguarding by undertaking enhanced checks with the Disclosure & Barring Service (‘DBS checks’ – formerly Criminal Records Bureau checks) as a cornerstone of our approach and these are repeated every three years.
Adventure Expeditions’ Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Cat Charlton. You should contact Cat in the first instance if you have any comments, questions, issues or concerns regarding safeguarding. In Cat’s absence, Lindy Smith, Tom Brooman and Andy Browning are the Designated Safeguarding Deputies (DSD).
