Who We Are
Founded in 2010, Adventure Expeditions is a Not-For-Profit organisation that uses the depth of experience of our staff team to deliver safe, quality outdoor programmes that are authentically adventurous - we provide real adventures.
Our programmes are designed around your chosen aims and we remain adaptable to changing conditions and the needs of your group through the experience of our instructors.
With a full-time staff team of five working hard to construct, manage and deliver your adventures, we dedicate time and energy to designing the best programme for you. We are lucky to be supported by a fantastic freelance team - all chosen for their qualifications, experience and approachability. Click below to see who we are.

Not For Profit
Adventure Expeditions is exactly that: our year-end operating surplus is used to further our organisation aim of widening participation in outdoor activities for young people.
Each year we offer bursaries, funding and support to individuals and groups who may not otherwise be able to participate in activities such as DofE expeditions and outdoor learning, providing financial support, equipment, training courses or helping to train leaders to deliver programmes independently to the young people they work with.
Support may be large or small, comprehensive or for part of a specific aim. If you have a project that you feel we might be able to support we would love to hear from you.

What We Do
Beyond delivering outdoor programmes and DofE expeditions across the UK and exciting locations overseas, everything that we do is rooted in quality, safety and experience.
Quality governs the programmes we offer, right from programme research and design through to our communications with you to delivery and review to make any adjustments for next time.
Safety underpins all of our actions and decisions and you can be reassured by the licences, insurance and quality badges that we have been awarded.
Experience allows us to deliver exciting, adventurous and authentic programmes in the outdoors - we don't just 'box tick' or put participants through programmes in 'sausage factory' mode. We draw on our team's pool of the highest qualifications and experience to produce something unique for you.

Adventure Expertise
Adventure Expertise is the outdoor training, guiding and skill development arm of AE providing:
- Summer Courses: rock climbing, scrambling, mountaineering, hill walking, navigation;
- Scottish Winter Courses: Winter skills, Winter mountaineering, ice climbing, guided climbs;
- Overseas: Rjuken Winter ice climbing (Norway);
- NGB Courses: Lowland Leader, Hill & Moorland Leader, Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor Award training and assessment courses;
- Training and Mentoring: Refresher, skill development and mentoring for NGB courses along with preparation for the Winter ML, MCI and WMCI awards;
- ITC First Aid Courses: Certificated or bespoke first aid courses for your personal or professional development;
- Bespoke adventures: individuals, families, charities and businesses;
- Technical advice and Expert Witness services.
