School holidays and weekends
We are excited to bring a range of outdoor activities and adventure days for young people aged 12 and above.
Groups are split according to age for activities that are designed with fun and adventure in mind. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a range of the following activities, dependent on the weather on the day:
Rock climbing, abseiling, zip wires and traverses, weaseling, scrambling, wildlife spotting, conservation activities, exploring rivers and streams, bushcraft and survival, team challenges, hiking, navigation, orienteering, geocaching, and reaching summits.
All activities take place from Peak District locations close to Sheffield. You’ll find drop off and pick up details in your Joining Information pack which is downloadable upon booking your place.

Adventure for all!
Adventure Expeditions is a not-for-profit entity and we are committed to widening participation in the outdoors for young people of all ages. We love what we do and want to share that with you. Remember, you don't need to have any previous experience of any kind to join our Adventure Days - all we ask is that you arrive with enthusiasm to explore!
Childcare vouchers: Our application to accept childcare vouchers is in progress, and we hope to be able to accept these very soon. If you have a young person who is keen to take part, please get in touch and we will see if we can support you through our bursary scheme instead.
If you have any additional needs or specific requirements that you would like to discuss in advance of making a booking or joining us for a programme, please do call and chat to us. We are an experienced staff team (including primary and secondary school teachers) and can work with you to ensure that our programmes are accessible for you and meet your needs as far as we can.

Where? Activity venues
We will take advantage of our instructors local knowledge to visit the best crags and locations for the forecast weather - we can find good locations for different activities whatever the weather so there is no need to worry that we won't be able to do something fun and adventurous if it is wet! Full directions and information about drop off and pick up points for each day will be communicated to you via email or message beforehand so we can make the best choices of venue possible.
Being based in the heart of the Peak District, we are spoilt for choice with world-class climbing crags and activity venues on the doorstep. Did you know that every year climbers come to the Peak District to experience the world-famous 'gritstone' and take on some of the classic climbs that have developed well known reputations?
Example venues include Stanage Edge, Burbage Valley, Millstone Edge and Lawrencefield/Bole Hill and Curbar and Froggatt Edges.
