How it works
Training and practice expeditions (3 days): covers all aspects of the Gold pre-expedition training framework, including route planning for, and then completing, a two day practice expedition. The cost for this expedition is £225.00.
Qualifying expedition programmes (5 days): includes an acclimatisation day to complete route planning and pre-expedition checks followed by a four day qualifying expedition assessed by a DofE Accredited Assessor. The cost for this expedition is £315.00.
Back-to-Back expedition programmes (7 days): covers all aspects of the Gold pre-expedition training framework, including route planning for your practice expedition (days 2-3), and qualifying expedition (days 4-7). This expedition allows you to complete your Gold expedition section in one go, assessed by a DofE Accredited Assessor. The cost for this expedition is £495.00
Programmes include plenty of time to get to know your team mates and mentoring from your instructor continues throughout so that you always feel supported.

We run a large number of Open Gold expeditions in beautiful locations across the UK - there is something for everyone to choose from.
All expeditions are designed with ease of transport in mind - whether you are joining us by car or public transport you will find the expeditions easily accessible with full directions and travel information provided as part of your joining information pack.

What do I Need to Arrange?
- Transport to and from the expedition - full directions and advice provided in your joining information including public transport options;
- Personal equipment - full kit list provided for you and the chance to hire any items that you need from us in advance of your expedition;
- Your expedition food - full details of what you need to bring is included in your joining information. Use your account to purchase any discounted expedition meals that you would like for delivery to you at the beginning of your programme.
